Our crazy little family always has something new to share. Mommy has her crafts, Daddy has his schooling, Hunter, well Hunter has A LOT going on all the time and Gwennyth is our sweet baby sleeping all the time. This year has been packed full of excitement and a lot of blessings. Keep checking to see what new things we have been up to!

We're...
...HOME! After our 21 hours of travel we have safely arrived back in the good 'ol "VTA"! We are so thrilled to be back in a country that has some order to it! When I (Lindsay) saw a line of people I wanted to cry and kiss the ground! People weren't just storming the counter! I tell you, it's the littlest things that we take for granted. Enough of my preaching! We can't wait to spend time with everyone! So e-mail or call us if you want to hang out. I have my mom's cell for now: 805-947-6385. Talk to you soon!!

Our little Peanut!
Well our appointment went terrific today. We had a bit of a mix up in times and Zach missed it but I gave him the pictures for the day so he could show off our little miracle to everyone (which he proudly did!). The Dr. said that I am around 7 weeks which is right on with our calculations so our due date will stay April 1, 2009. Until we are further along we will have a little joker on our hands! He, the doctor, was proud to report that I am free and clear of a possiblity of a miscarriage judging by the way everything looked so PRAISE GOD! I got to watch the heart beat flicker on the monitor and it was the most beautiful thing in the world. I can't wait to share in our excitement with all of you! Only 4 more days!
Oh yes! We would like to report that we are NOT finding out the sex of the baby. I know it will be difficult but we believe it will be well worth it.

First Ultrasound!
Today is our first US! We are so excited to see our little one in action and to find out our exact due date. I'll post the pictures as soon as we get back.

Command Picnic
On Friday Zach's command had their annual picnic. There was a BBQ, bowling, swimming and they even rented out the movie theater on base! We had a lot of fun hanging out with our friends, eating some good food and bowling! Yes, bowling! And for those of you who know just how bad of a bowler I am you know it was a treat! Well, a treat for other people to watch! We didn't stay for the movie because our poor pup hadn't seen people since the morning but we had a great time...bowling! It is always nice to have those kind of functions to say "thank you for all of your hard work" to the men and women that make up these commands. They don't get to hear it very often.
Concert at home
Last night the Bell's came over for dinner and a little bit of scrunch (our new favorite card game). After dinner Felicity asked (well Zach offered) to play some guitar for her while we were waiting on dessert. She was so excited when he was playing that she would dance around, or bounce, and clap her hands. Zach wanted to give her her first guitar lesson so he put her on his lap and taught her how to play! She was quite good if I do say so myself! :)
National Night Out
The security command hosted a "National Night Out" on base last week. It started with a parade that lead into the football field where it was being held with booths that other groups (and some commands) had great info on what they do on this base as well as free goodies (the security booth had root beer floats! Yum!). There was food, a jolly jump for the kids and demostrations of the K-9 teams. They also had a demonstration from the fire department that was crazy! They brought in a plane body and set it on fire and had their guys show how they put it out. Zach that it was incredible so he took some pictures. We thought we would share what our fire department can do!

Report on our appointment
Our first appointment was good. I (Lindsay) was able to meet a lot of other pregnant women that are just about as far along as I am. We were given a bunch of great pamphlets, a couple great books and we were able to get our tentative due date of April 1, 2009. Yes, that's right, April fools day! This little one has already started it's life as a jokester! We will be going in next week for our first ultra sound appointment so we can know exactly how far along we are and if our due date will change. Who knows maybe we will have a little wedding anniversary (March 31st) present, it is only fitting since he/she was my birthday gift!
As far as everything goes with how I (Lindsay) am feeling, I'm great! I haven't gotten any "morning sickness" or any nausea at all. I did get sick one day, but that was before we found out we were pregnant and I had taken some pain pills for my back. The little one definitely didn't like that! We consider ourselves very blessed to not have the wonderful "morning sickness". As far as finding out down the road if it is a boy or girl we want to keep it a surprise. I know it will be difficult, but I also know it will be well worth it in the end! We will be telling everyone what our name possibilities will be. Zach took a couple of "belly" pictures the other day to record what I used to look like :) pre-baby belly! I can't wait to enjoy all of the changes with all of you!

Our first doctors appt.
Tomorrow is our first real doctors appointment, other than confirming the pregnancy. At this base they make everyone go through a pregnancy class when they first find out they are pregnant. They basically talk to you about all of the different commands and what they offer to you. I am excited that the nutritionist is going to be there and give us a few helpful tips about eating right (not that I don't have enough books that tell me that anyway!). After the class we have our first appointment with our doctor. We are both so excited! We get to find out exactly how far along I am and see what our due date is. I will keep you posted on what the doc' says!

Murgo Winery
Last Friday Zach had the day off so we thought we would go up to a great winery out here and have some yummy food and hang out with the Callahan's. We made it up there with no problem (couldn't quite remember the directions at first!). It was kind of a bummer (not really) I couldn't drink or taste any of their amazing champagne or wines! We had found out that morning that I was for sure pregnant (we figure the baby is a late birthday gift. The best one I might add!). I didn't mind though, I just stocked up on the wine for when I can actually have it! :) We had so much fun up there. It is absolutely beautiful! When mom and Nette were out we took them there but forgot a camera when we went so I made sure this time I took one. We got to sit out on the patio they have that has grape vines growing threw the awning. They also have amazing views of everything from the mountain (volcano) to the ocean. When we arrived there a wedding was actually ending. How amazing it would be to have a wedding there! The bride looked fantastic! I tell you, the wedding gowns out here! Sheesh! I told Zach we are getting married out here again! He wanted to cry but I assured him I wasn't going to do that to him again.

Our latest blessing
If you haven't guessed it, WE ARE HAVING A BABY! We are so thankful and excited! Our little bundle will be arriving some time in late March or early April. We will find out our due date on the fifth of August at our first doctors appointment so hold tight for a week! God has been blessing us so much this year! With moving out to an amazing place, Zach making first class and now having our first baby! The year isn't even close to being over yet! I can't even imagine what else He has in store for us. We put all of our faith and trust in Him and we couldn't be more thankful! I can't stop saying that!
We can't wait to come out in three weeks and celebrate with everyone! We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all of the prayers and well wishes. They were definitely recieved and answered!
